Commissions

If you’re looking for a more personalised feel then working with me to design the perfect bespoke piece for you and your loved ones might be the answer.

Why I Love Commissions!

Commissioned projects are always such a joy for me. Whilst I was training to be a scenic artist I learnt all about design interpretation. The art of asking the right questions to get a vision out of someone’s head and into a design is a process I love perfecting.

For me commissioned projects come with the biggest reward. Working closely with a client to realise an idea that they’ve had, to be trusted to be part of their life in a small or a big way is an honour I’ll never get used to and the reactions to a finished commissioned piece are always magical.

It’s because of the joy I find in commissioned work that I frequently take on a wide variety of commission clients. Whether it's the perfect centerpiece for your wedding day, an extra special gift for a loved one or bespoke artwork to bring joy into your home I'm open to it all. There is no idea too quirky or crazy!

Commissions are all about the client and I would love to hear from you, simply send me a message to start the process today.

My Commissions Process

What happens once I contact you?

Once I get a commissions enquiry I will ask you a series of questions based on your bespoke requirements. This helps me to gain clarity on who it is for and what the brief is that we are working towards.

Then when we've decided what your commission brief is I will give you a quote and I will work with you on an appropriate payment plan.

How does the design process work?

Once the first payment has been received and a contract put in place, the project is confirmed and work can commence.

I will then order any necessary materials and start the design process (if this is necessary to your project)

Designs will then be submitted back to you for approval and any design details will be decided on here. I will paint the first glass and send photos and video to you for approval.

Once I've approved the design what happens next?

Rough dates/plan of when work will commence is communicated and client is kept up to date with progress or ay changes.

Once your commission has been painted up a final sign off will be requested from you, usually photographs and videos of the commission in its entirety are sent.

Final full payment will be required before the product is packaged and posted - any tracking details/order confirmation is sent to client.

Once your order arrives I will ask for a feedback form to be submitted to me to help to continually improve my process.

Below is a selection of bespoke packages that I offer and links to pages that explain each one in much more detail.

If you don't see what you'd like here or have an original idea then please don't hesitate to contact me.

I love working on brand new projects and we can work together to explore your options.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect once I've enquired about a commission?

Once I get a commissions enquiry I will ask you a series of questions based on your bespoke requirements. This helps me to gain clarity on who it is for and what the brief is that we are working towards.

Once we've decided what your commission brief is I will give you a quote and I will work with you on an appropriate payment plan.

Once the first payment has been received and a contract put in place, the project is confirmed and work can commence.

If I ask about a commission do I have to order one?

No! The order is not confirmed or booked until I receive the first payment and a contract has been signed. Up until that point you are free to shop around and ask as many questions as you like. There is never any pressure to order a commission I am simply here to help.

What is the best way to get in touch with you?

I am happy for you to contact me in whatever way feels best to you. I regularly monitor all of my social media messages and my emails so rest assured your enquiry will be processed as soon as possible once you have submitted it.

I'm on a tight deadline, how long will my commission take to complete?

This is like asking how long is a piece of string! It really depends on the commission, the amount of work involved and my availablity.

If you are on a tight deadline then please include the date you would require shipment to get to you in your enquiry.

I am often happy to work to a tight deadline but please note that you may be responsible for extra shipping charges and once your order has been posted the delivery is outside of my control.

All communication will be answered as soon as possible and delays often happen when a customer is slow to reply so ensuring you are as responsive as possible to all communication is a good way to speed up your commission timeline.

Usually an approximated timeline will be communicated to you in the quote and will be re-evaluated once the first glass has been painted.

Don't see what you're looking for?

My books are always open for all sorts of exciting commissions and I absolutely love hearing all of your ideas! Whether it's a big bulky project or a simple treat for yourself I'd love to hear from you. There is nothing I wont consider so please do get in touch with your ideas and I will work with you to bring them to life.
